Philosophy
Mission Statement
Our mission is to facilitate, educate and inspire others to arise to their fullest expression of health and well being through chiropractic care and massage therapy. At our center, we work to restore balance, movement, and function to the body, as nature intended. We provide people of all ages and all levels of health with the care and education necessary to naturally prevent illness, and actively achieve and maintain optimal health.
Our Name "Arise"
The word Arise is an inspiring action word that often creates images of movement and reawakening. Arise has many connotations that go hand in hand with the philosophy and practice of chiropractic and other forms of complementary medicine. The goal of this paradigm of health care is to renew and awaken the innate healing ability of the human body. As an individual receives care that supports the functioning of the body, that individual's true potential for health and well-being comes into existence, emerges, surfaces. As a result, he or she is literally able to ARISE, and is better preparedto enjoy life!

Dr. Lisa M. Hinkle, D.C.
Dr. Lisa Hinkle began her chiropractic career in Frederick, Maryland in 2006. She was born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. At the age of seventeen, after witnessing her mother's own success with chiropractic, she felt a strong connection with the philosophy of chiropractic and complementary medicine, and was moved to share it with others.
She graduated with honors from the University of Maryland Baltimore County with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and completion of all pre-medical coursework in preparation for professional school. In March 2006, Dr. Hinkle graduated summa cum laude from New York Chiropractic College with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. She had the unique opportunity to complete her clinical experience at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. In addition to treating active duty military personnel in the chiropractic clinic, she also rotated through various hospital departments including musculoskeletal and neurological radiology, orthopaedics, neurology, and physical medicine and rehabilitation.
In July 2006, Dr. Hinkle joined the practice of Dr. Roger Smith in Frederick, Maryland. In February 2007, Dr. Hinkle opened Arise Chiropractic Wellness Center, LLC as the sole business owner. She is extremely excited about her practice and being able to offer quality chiropractic care and massage therapy services to the Frederick Community. In addition to spinal adjusting, Dr. Hinkle is trained in Myofascial Release Technique and Craniosacral Therapy. She has also taken coursework in pediatric and perinatal care and is certified in the Webster technique.

Debbie Couture, LMT
Debbie was raised in Rockville, Maryland. She started off her career in the legal field but had always felt that she had another calling. Whenever one of her co-workers got a headache, Debbie was always able to alleviate it with massage. That is when she decided that massage therapy was the path she was supposed to follow. Debbie graduated from the Baltimore School of Massage in 2002 and has been practicing in Frederick since that time. She is also nationally certified with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
In February 2007, Debbie joined Arise Chiropractic Wellness Center, LLC. Debbie's massage style is comprised of concentrated work on "problem areas" specific to each patient's clinical presentation of pain and tension. She combines Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial massage and breathing techniques in her practice. Debbie is a Certified Infant Massage Instructor, who teaches parents/caretakers the benefits and methods of massaging their children, and a Reiki Master/Teacher. She has also received training in the Northern Style Traditional Thai Massage, Nuad Bo-Rarn, which involves slow rhythmic compressions and stretches to achieve a deeply therapeutic effect.
Natalia Eyestone, LMT
Since childhood, Natalia has been an observer of human motion and its connection to pain and pathology. Immersion in the study of human anatomy and physiology began as a hobby in high school and later became a passion as Natalia pursued education in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics, followed later with Psychology to integrate the body mind connection.
Massage Therapy later appealed to her as a direct method of using her passion for human movement puzzles in order to achieve restorative and corrective results in individuals. It was through Massage Therapy that Natalia was able to overcome her own injuries from a long career in trail running and cross country, as well as some more deep rooted issues associated with the body and mind. Her style of manual therapy focuses on treatment of specific conditions, injuries, chronic pain, as well as performance related goals of her clients. She welcomes and encourages an integrated approach to care that involves the individual and his or her healthcare providers, and has found this team approach to be most beneficial.
Natalia has worked with athletes from all levels of competition, ranging from amateur to elite. She has had the blessing of working with the USAW, and East Coast Gold Olympic Weightlifting team based out of Moorestown, NJ. In addition, Natalia has been fortunate to work with many well known professional runners and gymnasts, and often donates her time to volunteer at such events as the Baltimore Marathon and the Harrisburg Marathon to provide post race recovery for the athletes. Having been an athlete herself for most of her life, Natalia understands the sports psychology behind performance and injury, and can work from an athlete's perspective for her clients. She believes that this approach also transfers to individuals who are not out running races, but are regular folk with busy lives.
Natalia graduated from Synergy Healing Arts Center and Massage School in May of 2008, and is a Licensed Massage Therapist in Maryland. She joined the team at Arise Chiropractic Wellness Center in November 2008.
